Sea to Shining Sea Coupeville Fun Run

Whew what a busy fourth of July weekend! It all got started off on Friday when James and Andy ran the Coupeville Sea to Shining Sea Fun Run.
Grant in his very patriotic get up!
Andy and James ready to roll!
Andy and James with their biggest fans!
The guys did great in their 10k. Andy actually won the thing and James came in fourth behind and Ironman triathelete, a former UW cross country runner (yes it is Andy) and another very fit looking guy. There was definitely some stiff competition! Good job!
Here Grant is checking out his Daddy's competition.
Andy rounding the last turn to the finish. He is getting back into running form for sure! He ran it in 6:32 min/miles and won the whole race! See Amber's blog for more details.
Here is James coming into the finish. He ran a really hard race and was topping his heart rate out up in the upper 95% of max now that is working! He finished in 46:24 (it was actually 0.3 longer than a 10k) with a pace of 7:16 min/miles. Good job James!!
Taking a cool down run with the kiddos.
Grant holding the medal they gave out to all the kids.
"Let's run Daddy!" and off to the car we go to get ready for the Fourth of July parade.
